8/8/05 Bob is glad to be back in the US. He took lots of pictures of Niagara Falls yesterday and just rested.

The group had breakfast at 6:30 a.m this morning at the Marriott Hotel with a great view of the Falls. He said it was beautiful with the rising sun.

One of the coast-to-coast riders, Sue, is riding for pledges for a new battered womens shelter in Buffalo. The dedication was timed so she would be there and the whole group rode to the newly renovated building for the ceremony. Lots of pictures and handshaking was done. Bob says they made a very impressive pace line riding out of Buffalo. Usually, they don't leave in a group like that; they usually ride out in small groups as they get ready to start their days ride.

8/9/05 Not much news today. It is hot for upstate New York, with temperatures in the upper 80s. They spent a lot of time today on the Ontario Parkway, travelling along the south side of Lake Ontario.

8/10/05 Well, Im getting ready to go to New York to meet Bob. I have some business calls to make in the Syracuse area and then I will head to Lake Placid to meet Bob at the end of his day on Saturday in Lake Placid. Im looking forward to seeing him, and I think he is just about ready to head home. Thank you everyone for watching Bob as he traveled across the US. He has appreciated all the emails and kind words you have sent. I have updated this weeks map with the rest of his destinations.

On Sunday, Bob will leave the Cycle America group and we will travel back to Suffield through Vermont and Massachusetts. Our first stop will be Montpelier Vt. to stay with one of Bobs new cycling friends. Then we will go to Gaysville, VT, to stay at a campground called White River Valley Campground. On to Thetford, Vt, where we will visit with Mike and Marty, friends of Bobs for many years. The last night on the road will be Brattleboro, VT, and then we will be home. Plans may change due to weather.
